From the Port of Tunis to Gaza: We Are Also Part of the Global Sumud Flotilla

We Are Setting Sail to Stand By the Oppressed

Today, as Safa Foundation, Verenel Association, and Safa Schools, we are at the Port of Tunis. We met with NGOs and volunteers from all corners of the world. Together, we have become part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is setting sail to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. This journey is not just an aid activity; it is also a journey of conscience and solidarity. Therefore, being here is a great honor and responsibility for us.

The purpose of this flotilla is to deliver humanitarian aid materials to blockaded Gaza and draw attention to the suffering there. As part of this aid, we prepared food packages, medicine, health materials, and educational supplies. Through this journey, we are delivering the trusts of our donors and volunteers to Gaza.

Our Feelings at the Port of Tunis

As we prepare our ships at the Port of Tunis, we have mixed emotions. On one hand, we are thinking about the pain and needs in Gaza, and on the other, we find hope in the international solidarity we witness here. People from all over the world speak different languages, but our hearts speak the same language: goodness and compassion.

A Shared Conscience on the Road to Gaza

This journey is not only a duty for us; it is also a responsibility and a prayer. We are here to tell our brothers and sisters in Gaza "you are not alone" and to bring them hope. Even though the distances are separate, our hearts and prayers are united.
