Madrasa Project

Madrasas, which have been instrumental in building a pure society based on unity and solidarity in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah, trace their roots back to the time of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and remain one of the most vital parts of the Muslim world.

In accordance with the guiding principle of the noble hadith: "Whoever guides to a good deed will get the same reward as the doer of that deed." we, as the Verenel Association for Cooperation and Solidarity, have launched the project "Building Madrasas in the Ummah Geography." Through this initiative, we are opening numerous madrasas across Asia and Africa, providing people with the opportunity to perform their acts of worship and pursue their education in comfortable and suitable environments.

Where Are We Building Madrasas?

As the Verenel Association, we are building madrasas in the Baidoa and Mogadishu regions of Somalia in Africa, and in Bangladesh in Asia.

The mosques of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ˹truly˺ guided.

What Is the Cost of Building a Madrasa?

• The madrasas we build in Somalia come in two different sizes: 100 m² and 200 m². These madrasas, where approximately 150 students can study together, are constructed within 90 days and include a wudu (ablution) area.

   
  • Cost in the Mogadishu region of Somalia: $17,500
  • Cost in the Baidoa region of Somalia: $32,000
   

• Our madrasas in Bangladesh are 80 m² in size, accommodate 100 students, and are constructed within 2.5 months.

   
  • Cost in Bangladesh: $12,000

For our donors who may not have the means to fund an entire madrasa but still wish to contribute by saying, "I want to place a brick too," we have established pooled funds. Our donors can contribute any amount they wish to this fund, helping to bring the completion of our madrasas closer to reality.

Madrasas, which are centers of knowledge and wisdom in the light of the Quran and Sunnah, serve as a means for raising generations that will shape the future of the Ummah (community).
